It was a regal evening at the Bohol Wisdom Gymnasium last Friday, April 24 as fifteen of the most captiviating women from the different barangays of Tagbilaran City showcased their allure, elegance, and wit as they all vie for the most prestigious beauty title in Bohol’s capital city.

At the conclusion of the event, Mary Eda Cimafranca representing Barangay Poblacion Uno was hailed the fairest of them all.  Aside from the title Geraldine Topsnik enjoyed for one full year, Eda also bagged four of minor awards: Best in Production Number, Best in Swimsuit, Best in Casual Interview, and Best in Long Gown.

The top five delegates’ scores were zeroed after three rounds of competition: Swimsuit, Casual Interview, and Evening Gown.  They were asked on how will they be able to live up to the prestigious title of Mutya sa Tagbilaran while promoting the best that Tagbilaran has to offer.  Cimafranca stressed on how the pageants moved away from being just a mere beauty pageant into a more substantive one.  She also highlighted that a Mutya should have competence to live up to the title and confidently responds that she has what it takes to live up to the title.

Eda is the third beauty titlist in her family.  She was also Miss Silka Bohol 2014 First Runner Up.

“It feels overwhelming.  It feels like a dream,” Cimafranca said in an exclusive interview minutes after the pageant.

The new Mutya sa Tagbilaran is now looking forward for her preparations for Miss Bohol 2015 and is up to the challenge of winning the island’s most coveted beauty title that eluded the City of Friendship after Daisy Jean Quilicot bagged the title in 2009.

“I’m planning to take home the title for the Tagbilaranons.  I really owe it to them,” Cimafranca pledges.
