Just a few more hours to go and Rebuilding Bohol: Gift of Joy, A Benefit Concert will be staged at Bohol Wisdom School.  In this season of gift-giving, Rebuilding Bohol is but one perfect opportunity to give joy while receiving joy.

October of last year when the entire Bohol experienced a massive earthquake that claimed hundreds of lives and damaged millions worth of property.  One of the greatly hit areas was Loon with 20 people dead and the Our Lady of Light Parish Church reduced to rubble.  Much worst, the town lost 32 of its 64 day care centers.

Thus, Dr. Rosendo M. Lopez III, backed by the Lopezes of Loon and other civic groups, organized Rebuilding Bohol in support to rehabilitation efforts for the town's day care centers.  Net proceeds from the concert will go to the rehab efforts.

Kirby will be top billing today's benefit concert

Kirby Asunto will be the main performer of the night.  (Read my feature on Kirby Asunto here).  She will also share the stage with: Journey frontman Arnel Pineda; PBB's Cutie Crooner of Paranaque and The Voice of the Philippines Season 1 semifinalist Jacob Benedicto; and Marlo Mortel who gave life to Nicolo Cortes, Nikki Lim's (played by Janella Salvador) love interest in the recently-concluded Be Careful With My Heart.

Other performers include: Fr. Jonas Mejares, OSA; Jam 403, and the world-renowned Loboc Children's Choir.
